Crafting a Bold Vision
A California native with a passion for international travel, Jeffrey Neve brings a global influence into his designs, transforming his clients' stories into vibrant, collaborative, and functional spaces. Known as a design chameleon, Neve’s work is recognized for its rich infusion of color, texture, and striking imagery that create memorable interiors.
Before founding Jeffrey Neve Interior Design in 2017, Neve honed his skills in the fashion industry as a Nordstrom executive. His deep understanding of design and construction was further cultivated during successful stints at two prestigious Bay Area design firms. Today, Neve’s work is celebrated in publications like Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, House Beautiful, and California Home and Design. His design firm is a full-service studio specializing in residential new construction, remodels, and renovations, serving clients throughout California and beyond.
When a family approached Neve to design their custom home in Diablo, California, he envisioned a bold, high-contrast aesthetic that would marry modern sophistication with warm, inviting details. For this 7,000-square-foot residence, Neve partnered with the experts at All Natural Stone in their Dublin showroom to source the perfect materials.
A standout feature of the home is the dramatic Nero Marquina Marble, selected for the 20-foot-tall fireplace in the living room. “The high-contrast black and white foundation set the tone for the entire home,” says Neve, explaining how the stone’s striking veins inspired the design direction.
The aesthetic flows seamlessly into a sophisticated speakeasy bar space, which exemplifies Neve's talent for blending bold materials with artistic details. Anchoring the bar is a stunning leathered Avocatus Quartzite countertop, its dramatic green tones and veining creating a luxurious and inviting focal point. Complementing the stone is a textured mirror tile backsplash from Artistic Tile, which adds depth, shimmer, and a touch of old-world glamour to the space. Together, these materials create a moody, jewel-box effect that balances modern edge with timeless elegance, inviting both lively gatherings and quiet evenings of relaxation.

In collaboration with All Natural Stone, Neve meticulously selected various stone and tile finishes throughout the home, ensuring each surface offered not only visual appeal but also durability and functionality. From the sleek, bold slabs in the living room to the jewel-toned bar and warm wood tones in other areas, every detail was thoughtfully curated to enhance the space. “The process of bringing this design to life was incredibly rewarding,” shares Neve. “Working with All Natural Stone gave us the ability to achieve the perfect balance of aesthetic impact and everyday function. The clients were thrilled with the result.”
