Quarry Tile

Quarry tile has its roots in the brick industry. They are hard, impervious paving tiles made of ground minerals, formed like brick, but fired at a higher temperature. Unlike clay terracotta, quarry tiles are not porous and will resist water; and unlike ceramic tile and porcelain, quarry tile does not have a surface glaze layer.
